Secretary-General

The Secretary-General is the Highest staff Position within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation. He/She provide advice to Senior Minister and the Vice-Minister (s) on all matters relating to the Diplomatic activities, management, administration, organisation, and overall human reources deveploment.

Currently, the Secretary-General consists of three Coordinating Directors as an Executive. they are as follows:

1. Coordinating Director for political Affairs: Mr. Nelson Santos, contact No. +670 7230046.
2. Coordinating Director for Consular Affairs: Ms. Vicky Tchong, contact No. +670 7230072.
3. Coordinating Director for Economic Cooperation, Research, Legal Affairs and Human Rights: Mr. Roberto Soares, contact No. +670 7230028.

The Ministry has been unable to locate a suitably qualified and experienced candidate for the position of Secretary-General in recent months. Thus, the position is currently rotated among the three coordinating Directors for a period of four months each.
