Timor-Leste Attended The Meeting of CPLP

Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Timor-Leste had sent Ms. Natercia Coelho, from Multilateral Division to attend the meeting focal point of CPLP in Lisbon on 19-21 February 2003.
"This is the first CPLP meeting that Timor-Leste attended as a full member of CPLP. It was very important, because part of being involved directly with CPLP Focal Point activities, we can learn some experience and make contact with other members of CPLP" added Natercia Coehlo.
The meeting was discussed about the Analysis Method and Approval of the Focal Point project of CPLP, electronic government and also discussed about the AIDS project of to be submitted to the United Nation Global fund on May 2003.
After discussing many things, CPLP will send their team to Timor-Leste, firstly is to apprentice the Timorese people on the subject of project analysis that will take place during the first semester of this year. Secondly, they will send one team to Timor-Leste to make survey to establish the electronic government in Timor-Leste. Moreover, Timor-Leste through Minister of Health should respond to some questions prepare by the CPLP team to be submitted to the United Nations Global Fund" said Ms.Coelho
Timor-Leste is the one of 8 countries that attended the meeting including Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, and S. Tome e Principe.
