ESTABLISHMENT DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS BETWEEN THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF TIMOR-LESTE AND UKRAINE

In New York, the Senior Minister and Minister of for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, H.E. Mr. Jose Ramos-Horta and the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, H.E. Mr. Kostyantyn I. Gryshchenko, signed a Joint Communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries at Ambassadorial level, on 27th September, 2003.

The relations between the two States will be based on the principles of international law and the goals and objectives of the United Nations.
The two countries are committed to developing and strengthening relations of friendship and cooperation in all areas.
