TIMOR-LESTE TO ATTEND THE NON-ALIGNED MOVEMENT WORKSHOP IN BRUNEI DARUSSALAM

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation has nominated Mr. Francisco Dionisio Fernandes, Head of World Bank, IMF and ADB Desk of the Multilateral Division in the Ministry of Foreign and Cooperation to participate the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Workshop that will be held on 21st – 23rd of October 2003, in Bandar Sri-Begawan, Brunei Darussalam.

The objective of this workshop is to discuss about Business Incubator and Entrepreneurship in increasing the prospects for Rapid and Sustainable Socio-Economic Development.

“The advantage for us is to enhance our capacity in developing our small and medium enterprise through Business incubators. After independence, Timor-Leste has faced a lot of challenges towards development process, however we must encourage ourselves by developing our skills and capacities and willingness to learn from other countries in this region. The experiences of other countries will open our perspective towards the reconstruction of our newest country in the world” said Mr. Fernandes.

The Workshop will be attended by all NAM member Countries.
Timor- Leste’s participation is sponsored by the Secretariat of Non- Aligned Movement Centre for South- South Technical Cooperation (NAM CSSTC).
