It is incumbent upon the Division of Public Affairs to:

• Coordinate the operations of all services and organizations within the Ministry that encompass social communication;
• Collate and transmit news reports of interest to the different services and organizations;
• Ensure the publication of all news reports that it is obliged to broadcast;
• Assist and support foreign correspondents accredited in Timor-Leste, as well as arranging contact with those professionals, and other official foreign journalists;
• Organize and maintain an archive of press records and other supporting information;
• Assist in organizing and monitoring of the relocation of officials
